Healthy Cooking Foundation Class: Healthy Fats and Oils
Master the basics of whole-food, organic cooking while learning new culinary techniques and styles. In this foundation class, you will learn how to source and use various healthy fats and oils for use in preparing healthy meals. You will be given information about how they are grown, processed for human consumption, as well as traditional and modern preparation techniques. After understanding the journey from nature to the point of purchase, we will prepare three healthy recipes for you to sample including:
Warm Spinach Salad with Caramelized Onions
Red Lentil Stew
Fresh Fruit with Yogurt Tahini Sauce
All ingredients and materials are included in the class fees. Attendees will receive generous samples and printed recipes to take home. Class size limited to 25 people. Classes are $40 each.
