Please join us at Spruce for our first wine dinner of 2016 featuring two gems of Spanish viticulture, Valdesil and Bodegas Roda.
Located in the Galicia region of western Spain, Bodegas Valdesil focuses on white wines from the Godello grape. In inland Galicia, the tiny appellation of Valdeorras has proven to be the ideal location for Godello to express all of its great potential. Valdesil owns the oldest Godello vineyards in Spain and specifically selects plots of Godello grown on the rare native black slate found in Valdeorras.
Founded in the early 1990s, Bodegas Roda strives to produce elegant, world-renowned Tempranillo from the Rioja region. They own or have long-term agreements for 28 different vineyards, each with a distinct microclimate. Roda's wines are produced solely from old vine Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano.
Chefs Mark Sullivan and John Madriaga have crafted a special menu to accompany these unique and food-friendly wines.
