The Amarantos String Quartet
The Amarantos String Quartet was formed in Portland, Maine with the mission to reinvent the role of the string quartet in the modern cultural landscape. Through presentation of new music, unique collaborations and original arrangements violinists Lauren and Meagan, violist/arranger Bryan, and cellist Hannah are attracting new, diverse audiences to the chamber music genre. Classically trained, each member of the quartet has also performed extensively with musicians from a wide variety of styles such as rock, pop, folk, world, and more. These collective experiences are the basis for what makes the Amarantos Quartet and their diverse repertoire a truly unique experience.
