Why We Have a Body by Claire Chafee
WHY WE HAVE A BODY by Claire Chafee
Presented by the Brazen-Faced Varlets
The Brazen-Faced Varlets, a troupe of theatre artists that challenge, provoke, and delight to promote artistic growth present the comedy-drama WHY WE HAVE A BODY by award winning playwright Claire Chafee.
This witty lyrical play comes to Buffalo, New York after rocking San Francisco audiences with it's rich characters and intelligent laughs. We join four women on their search: a self declared feminist archeologist specializing in the female brain, a lovable criminal working to make peace with her mental disorders and less than ideal childhood, a lesbian private investigator, and a recently separated paleontologist who, had she kissed a woman earlier in life might have made that her career instead.
The show will be at Rustbelt Books on Grant St. Saturday, January 30th through Sunday, February 14th. Shows are Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00pm. Tickets are $15.
The performance is directed by Elizabeth Oddy, assisted by Stefanie Warnick, and features Heather Fangsrud, Jennifer Fitzery, Lara Haberberger and Jeanne Vuich.
Performances dates and times are as follows: Saturdays & Sundays at 2:00 pm January 30- February 14, 2016
