Cooking Class: Celebrate Lunar New Year With Healthy Dumplings
Learn how to use healthier ingredients, including vegetarian and gluten-free alternatives, to prepare Chinese dumplings. Traditionally, eating dumplings is considered good luck and believed to bring wealth for the coming new year. Join us as we take traditional approaches to make healthy versions of these little morsels of deliciousness!
All cooking classes are taught in Bastyr University Clinic's state-of-the-art teaching kitchen by nutrition professional Fernanda Larson, MS, CN. Fernanda and her award-winning cooking programs have reached thousands of curious chefs of all ages! She has been featured in the Del Mar Times, The Coast News, North County Kids Magazine, Red Tricycle San Diego, and on Channel 6's Wake up San Diego program.
All ingredients and materials are included. Attendees will receive generous samples and printed recipes to take home. Class size limited to 25 people. Class fee of $40 includes all class materials. Discounted prices offered to college students, military, seniors and patients of Bastyr University Clinic.
