Flamenco Guitarist JOSE ANTONIO RODRIGUEZ
José Antonio Rodríguez is one of the few composers of flamenco music with international prestige. His nature as a brilliant performer and instructor must be added to that. He possesses an extensive résumé which endorses him as one of the necessary references in the world of flamenco music. He has important prizes to his credit. 1987  He premieres his show "Guajira Para Guitarra Flamenca Y Orquesta" within the special concerts on the occasion of Andalusia Day. 1988  For its premiere in Seville, he composed the music for the show "Tiempo, Amor Y Muerte" with choreography by Mario Maya. He has recorded five solo albums, performing his own scores; "Calahorra", "Callejón de las Flores", "Manhattan de la frontera", "La Leyenda" and "Córdoba...en el tiempo", as well as the live DVD "Córdoba... en el tiempo" recorded at the Gran Teatro in Córdoba.
In 1990 he premieres his concert for flamenco guitar "Viento de Libertad", this being his most ambitious work, with the collaboration of Joan Albert Amargós in the orchestration. 1994  Together with Joan Albert Amargós, he composes the work "Réquiem" for the world premiere of the Compañía Andaluza De Danza (Andalusian Dance Company) with choreography by Mario Maya. At the same time he takes part in the staging of the show "A Oscuras" together with Enrique Morente and Esperanza Fernández. 1995  He appears in the film "Flamenco" by Carlos Saura. He participates on the album "Nochebuena Gitana", accompanying Camarón and Paco de Lucía. 1997 He composes the work "El Jaleo" by assignment of the Centro Andaluz de Danza (Andalusian Dance Center), with choreography by María Pagés and Fernando Romero.

1998  He presents his latest album "Manhattan de la Frontera" at Seville's Bienal de Arte Flamenco (Flamenco Art Biennial). 2000  He produces and collaborates on albums by wellknown artists such as Esperanza Fernández, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Enrique Morente, Manolo Sanlucar, Joan Baez... He takes part in important guitar festivals in and outside of Spain. 2001  By assignment of Córdoba's National Flamenco Art Contest, he premieres "El Guitarrista Azul", a symphony in four movements for guitar and orchestra. The orchestration is done by Enric Palomar, and it is conducted by Joan Albert Amargós. That same year he begins his collaboration as an instructor in the guitar courses in Córdoba which are directed by Manolo Sanlúcar. 2003  He composes for the ballet "LA LEYENDA" which the Andalusian Dance Company premiered at Seville's Bienal de Flamenco and which the Ballet Nacional de España (Spanish National Ballet) later included in its repertoire. 2003  He composes the work "TIEMPO" for the Spanish National Ballet with choreography by Joaquín Grilo premiered on January 23rd, 2004.

2004  He begins a World Tour, presenting his new album "NO ES LO MISMO" as guest artist of Alejandro Sanz. In Madrid, he shoots Carlos Saura's film IBERIA dedicated to composer ISAAC ALBENIZ. 2006  Premiere of his new work "CÓRDOBA EN EL TIEMPO" by assignment of the Córdoba Guitar Festival. He composes the original score of the Ballet CARMEN with choreography by Aída Gómez.

In 2007 the films Lola and El corazón de la tierra premiere, where he appears in their soundtrack. Make the production of the album "RECUERDOS" of Esperanza Fernández. Has acted as an interpreter in the film "Alatriste "

He continues his concert tour in Spain, Mexico, England, France, etc.
Concerts in France (Festival de Nimes), Madrid (Festival CajaMadrid) y (Festival Solidarios), Rusia (Concierto para guitarra y orquesta en el Festival de Guitarra en Kaluga), Sevilla (Ciclo Cajasol) Concierto en el Queen Elizabeth Hall de Londres (Inglaterra) Skirball Center de New York, Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, Festival Julian Arcas de Almeria, Festival de la guitarra de Córdoba, etc.

In 2014 has been published the didactic work "of FLAMENCO to all theMUSICS" Ed. octahedron, of which he is author Antonio Cremades, Calixto Sánchez and Manuel Herrera.
Performs a tour of USA (Fresno, San Diego, Los Ángeles (California) Portland, Lincoln City (Oregon)

He gives courses and Master class at different universities in California. It ispresented for the first time in Australia ( Adelaide Guitar Festival) playing theInaugural concert of the 2014 Edition.

It began the production of their newalbum which will be released in 2016.
In April 2015, began recording and elaboration of 2 DVD+BOOK of his musicfor the publishing
house "La Sonanta". For its premiere at the International Festival of guitar of Kaluga is created"new guitar trio" tog ether with Roman Miroshnichenko and Henrk Andersen.
