Alan Langdon's Direction Workshop
Animus Theatre Company is proud to announce our 3rd Annual Professional Directing Workshop with Alan Langdon, This is a wonderful opportunity for the beginning and serious directors to hone their skills with one of today's leading teachers. Only 12 seats available so act fast! In addition to participating in the workshop, we are also offering one day or full weekend audits. Details are below and we look forward to working with you!
What: Professional Directing Workshop with Alan Langdon
When: Saturday, January 23, 2016 AND Sunday, January 24, 2016; 10AM-5PM BOTH DAYS
Where: Theatre Row Studios

DESCRIPTION:
The class will attempt to answer the following questions;
- What is a Director?
- Do we need a director?
- What does a director do?
The work will include 'doing', 'exercises', 'discussion', 'challenges' and 'reading'. This is not a workshop about staging or blocking, but maybe it is.
Your preparation involves two things; please familiarize yourself with the book Directors on Directing by Toby Cole and Helen Krich Chinoy. This book is available on Amazon, at the performing arts library and possibly at The Strand. Drama Book Shop is currently sold out. If you are unable to obtain a copy, don't fret. However, Alan will use it as a reference, so do your best to track it down. The second part of prep is to show up. Be open to what he has to offer. And that's it.
Participant Fee: $250.00
Single-Day Auditor Fee: $50 (covers 1 day of admission to either Saturday OR Sunday - your choice)
Two-Day Auditor Fee: $75.00 (covers admission to both days AT A DISCOUNT!)
All fees are refundable up to 50% thru January 18, 2016
Fees are non-refundable as of 12:01AM on January 19, 2016.
