The essential teachings of Bhakti Yoga were disseminated by Sri Chaitanya mainly through the writings of Srila Rupa Goswami who was one of the few people directly and systematically instructed by him. The substance of those teachings, the essence of all Bhakti philosophy, were expertly summarized and poetized in 11 verses called Sri Upadesamrita, translated and popularized by Srila A. C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada as The Nectar of Instruction. This seminar will be taught by Dhanurdhara Swami, a scholar of Sri Rupa Goswami's teachings. His book Waves of Devotion, a study of Rupa Goswami's BhaktiRasamrta Sindhuh (Nectar of Devotion) is one of the most widely acclaimed commentaries on the text in English.
This seminar is for those who would like to deepen their understanding of bhakti-yoga through the study of this essential text, under the direction of a master teacher.
SCHEDULE The seminar consists of 9 classes over the course of 9 Saturday afternoons.

Dhanurdhara Swami is the author of three books Waves of Devotion: A Comprehensive Study of The Nectar of Devotion, Greetings from Vrindavana, a selected collection of his thoughts and realizations from 20002004, and Japa Meditations: Contemplations on Entering the Holy Name, a collection of selected personal realizations on japa meditation. He is currently working on several writing projects including a contemporary book on bhakti and a book on kirtana.
Dhanurdhara Swami spends half of the year in India where he focuses on bhajana, studying, writing and taking people on pilgrimage of holy places. The other half of the year he spends in the West traveling and speaking on bhakti-yoga.
