Day1: Improvisation for Writing
Using simple (not scary!) improv & theatre games and techniques, we'll write, inspired by our own unexpected spontaneity and ignoring the editor in our heads.
Writing and sharing ideas, using improv as a starting point, and occasionally, along the way.
On previous workshops, people have come up with ideas for scripts, written poems, started short stories or just scribbled down a good old fashioned rant!
Be prepared to jump in and have a go. Please bring paper and a pen.
Suitable for people who have a little improv experience.
Nice things people have said about 'Improv for Writing' and 'Improv for Sketch':
Jen will help you unlock the block and get you used to putting pen to paper Jo W
Particularly good for prompting new ideas and angles Robyn
Very chilled out and unthreatening. Given me some good structures for getting ideas going. Jason B
