PEPE GIMENO Writing without words...
A poetic adventure that transcends words to tell a story. Instituto Cervantes of Chicago The exhibition will run until March 29, 2016
Apart from contributing to El Type Directors Club (TDC) in New York (a leading international forum in graphic design), designer Pepe Gimeno will tour many major American cities, including Chicago, where he will exhibit 20 of his 57 designs that will make up his book Grafia Callada, a collection of pages composed of various graphic designs made from recycled items which reveal the force of communication through symbols without the need for words.
One of the principal objectives of Pepe is to separate content and form in his art to reveal this new form of representation and communication.
During the grand opening the designer will offer a conference to talk about the creative process that unrolled within him over the last fifteen years. His work is a personal one that is placed within the sphere of experimental graphics and art.
Event attendees grant permission to the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago and its designees to utilize their image or likeness in connection with any live or recorded transmission or reproduction of such event.
