Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra June Concert
The Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra presents its June concert!
Program:
Weiner: Carnival - Humoresque for Small Orchestra Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 5 in A-major, "Turkish" Dvorak: Mazurek, Op. 49 Beethoven: Symphony No. 7 in A-major
The location: The beautiful Grand Lounge of the Ebell of Los Angeles. Note this is the uphill (north) portion of the building, not the large theater at the downhill end. Enter from the east or west side of the building near the uphill end.
The soloist: Robert Vijay Gupta is a member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and is the youngest person ever hired by that orchestra, in 2007 at age 19. He is a 2011 TED Senior Fellow.
The cause: Mr. Gupta has established Street Symphony, a non-profit organization which provides musical experiences for mentally ill individuals, primarily those who are homeless and/or veterans. A portion of all ticket sales will go to support Street Symphony.
Children 12 and under free with paid adult.
