Ethics in Healthcare: Goodbye "Death Panels": Hello Patient Choice!
As Americans it is our right to make our own healthcare choices. Yet also as Americans, we rarely tell anyone what those choices are. Why do we do this? Unfortunately, for a lot of reasons.
- Our culture does not encourage it - Our families are uncomfortable with it - Our politicians scare us with threats of death panels and government rationing - Our choices especially at lifes end, can cause strong and uncomfortable emotions
So, be a rebel. Join us for an evening of learning, discussing and actually filling out your own advance care directive. This program is invaluable, free and really, really important. ___________________________________________________________
