Minimally Invasive Cardiovascular Care and Common Therapies
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S. with five million Americans hospitalized each year with chest pain and 1.1 million suffering heart attacks. Immediate care, prompt diagnosis and treatment can make a critical difference. This seminar will focus on advancements in cardiovascular care, and how they have improved quality of life for people with heart disease. Dr. Fatemi will review: - Cardiac catheterization - Radial catheterization - Peripheral vascular interventions - Structural heart interventions such as aortic valve replacement ___________________________________________________________
Dr. Omid Fatemi specializes in interventional cardiology. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas and his fellowship at Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC. He is a member of the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. Dr. Fatemi is an active member of both Community Memorial Hospital and Ojai Valley Community Hospital medical staff.
