Composer Focus Concert: Mozart?
In the popular imagination, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's music is synonymous with classical music itself. Brilliantly crafted and with a tremendous emotional scope, his works have inspired each successive generation of composers.
Part of the Composer Focus concert series, "MOZART?" will explore pieces written in the 20th and 21st centuries for which Mozart's music was the starting point. The program will feature works by Part and Schnittke, as well as two new Mozart-inspired compositions written by Mary Bichner especially for this concert. It's gonna rock!
"Composer Focus" is a classical concert series, specializing in 20th and 21st century chamber music for piano and strings. The series intends to introduce local audiences to some of the most original and accomplished composers of our time through vital performances.
