Visible! Invisible! Sex, Death, Insanity! A new dance about the life of Mary Todd Lincoln and the American First Lady body, featuring a hot parade of first ladies and a host of cross-dressing male ghosts.
After a sold out world premiere in San Francisco, innovative Bay Area company Paufve | dance continues its 10th anniversary season with the Oregon premiere of So I Married Abraham Lincoln, an evening length work based on the life of historical figure Mary Todd Lincoln, Thursday-Saturday, June 21-23, 2012 at Conduit Dance in Portland at 8:30pm each evening. Choreography by Randee Paufve. Set Design by Jack Carpenter. Lighting design by Gabe Maxson. Sound by Heather Heise. Costumes by Keriann Egelund. Dramaturgy by Liz Lisle. Dancers: Valerie Gutwirth, Rebecca Johnson, Katie Kruger, Mo Miner, Nadia Oka, Jill Randall, Christy L. Thomas.
