Shock Philadelphia Boot Camp

The off-season is the best time to prepare for the next year of Roller Derby. The New York Shock Exchange trains throughout the year to keep in top competitive form. On January 16th, Jonathan R and Malcolm Sex will travel to Philadelphia to show you the skills, strategy, and intensity you need to play the best you ever have in 2016.

Malcolm Sex has been a key member of the New York Shock Exchange defense since joining the squad in 2013. A master blocker who believes that advanced play comes from fundamentals done right, he will show you how faithful execution of basic stopping skills inform today's most effective defensive and offensive strategies.

Jonathan R, one of the MRDA's founding fathers, has remained at the competitive edge of the sport since NYSE's inception. In this boot camp, he will show you how endurance is a jammer's greatest asset, and how it will help you take holes and juke past blockers on your fifth scoring pass just as well as on your first.

This boot camp is co-ed, and is welcome to all skills levels who are looking for a challenge. Come out to Skatin's Hellhole at 1801 W Indiana Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19132!
