Summer Theater Camps 2012
The Theater Company of Hoboken presents two weeks of Summer Theater Camps, specifically designed for children entering grades 1-8 in Fall 2012. Sign up for one week or for both each week the participants will create their own performance, presented on Friday of each week to family and friends..
David Zimmerman, Producing Artistic Director of The Theater Company, takes his experience at New Jersey's premiere theater for youth The Growing Stage and adds it to an experienced staff of teachers to create a program where children are encouraged to work together and with professionals in a creative a production for all to enjoy, both in the process and during the performance. The belief is that the theater arts offer a channel for a child's natural gifts of imagination and role playing, thus sharpening their creativity, improve their communication skills, gaining self-confidence, and learning the importance of teamwork. Above all, children enjoy becoming a part of the magic that they create on the stage.
