Project Playwright 2016
Sanguine's annual Project Playwright Festival was conceived as an opportunity to showcase the hundreds of new and rising writers who struggle to have their work discovered. Each year, Sanguine's literary team reads hundreds of submissions and selects 3-6 finalists. Excerpts from the finalist's scripts are performed before an audience. At the end of the evening, the audience votes on the play they would like to see performed. The winner of Project Playwright is granted a fully-produced world premiere in New York City as part of Sanguine's official season.
