Ring in the New Year with ARTC at CAP 21!
PROGRAM A offers plays about the foibles of what people do to get by: Tombstones by Julius Landau, directed by Kathleen Swan; Universal Experience by Elizabeth Perry, directed by Janet Sarno; A Real Workout by Deb Armelino, directed by Byron Loyd and The Beeping by Josh Drimmer directed by Kathleen Swan.
Over 14 days the Festival presents 11 works dealing with the endings and beginnings in life that are constantly transforming us. Each play in its way mixes equal parts family and friends/ anxiety and love, resulting in characters who live and breathe the drama and the comedy of the human experience. The cast includes 25 actors and ARTC members who have credits on and off Broadway and in film/TV.
WinterWorks 2016: A Festival of New One Act Plays runs from Tue. Jan. 5th thru Mon. Jan. 18 in The Shop@Cap 21 (18 W. 18th St., 6th Floor). ALL PERFORMANCES ARE AT 7:30PM unless otherwise noted.
Program A: Tombstones, Universal Experience, A Real Workout, The Beeping--Tue. 1/5; Fri. 1/8; Sun 1/10 at 7PM; Mon. 1/11; Sun. 1/17 at 3PM; Mon. 1/18 at 7PM.
Program B: Being There, Dog, Sleepwalker Time, Playmates--Wed. 1/6; Thu. 1/7; Sat. 1/9 at 3PM; Tue. 1/12; Fri. 1/15; Sat. 1/16.
Program C: The Button Man, Pinteresque Dot Com, Vanya Goes Vegas--Sat. 1/9; Sun. 1/10 at 3PM; Wed. 1/13; Thu. 1/14; Sat. 1/16 at 3PM; Sun. 1/17 at 7PM.
Tickets are $16, general admission; $10 special for 30 and under. A package of all 3 programs is $40.
