Ready Willing & Mabel With Rachel Flowers and RPM
This Los Angeles-based vocal jazz group has been singing together since 2002 and has developed a loyal and enthusiastic following for its unique a cappella style and lively personality. The group's sound has been described as "compelling," "mesmerizing" and "a cocktail for the ears!"
The foursome, who describe themselves as "self-confessed chord freaks" share a passion for haunting melodies, dangerously close harmonies and lyrics that can melt the heart; a powerful combination indeed!
Though the group tends to favor classics from the Great American Songbook, their musical menu also includes a little South American flavor, a poignant Lennon & McCartney tune, a dash of African rhythm and even a hint of the Celtic tradition.
Ready Willing & Mabel is a truly international quartet. Caroline McLean, lead singer hails from Leeds, England, while alto Kate Walker is from Christchurch, New Zealand. Bass extraordinaire Jim Campbell began his singing career back home in Louisville, Kentucky, leaving tenor Peter Neushul as the group's only native Los Angelino (although he does claim to be a descendent of Attila the Hun!)
The four bring to the group an incredible 100 years of collective experience in close harmony singing and together, as Ready Willing & Mabel, they have appeared on concerts, shows, jazz festivals and events throughout California, most recently being featured at the prestigious, grand opening of the Air Force One Pavilion at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley.
