This course will be in two parts. In the morning, there will be a lecture about the composers, about the pieces that are to be played in the rehearsal, and about the soloists. In the afternoon, the class, as a group, attends the dress rehearsal of the performance. At the dress rehearsal SLO Symphony guest conductor Laura Jackson will speak as she conducts, giving background information, musicology, and notes on harmony.
