MooNiE Tales with Philip Earl Johnson
Stories shed light on our hearts and soul by whispering "we are not alone". In this evening of personal narrative stories, Phil recounts some of the amazing and amazingly stupid events that brought him to be a nationally recognized acto,r and the clown, MooNiE the Magnif'Cent. As David Byrne of The Talking Heads wrote, "how did I get here?", Phils stories shed light on the building blocks of building his career on stage and in front of the camera. In the last 26 years he has won acting awards in both Chicago and Los Angeles and his clown show has been ranked #1 nationally for four years in a row at Renaissance Festivals across the country. While his stories are often funny, at the same time, they tap into a collective well that we all drink from with the themes of loss of innocence, yearning, hope, perseverance and love. The evening is recommended for ages 14 and over but is acceptable for any age.
