Michael Jerling
After forty years as a professional musician, Saratoga Springs singer-songwriter Michael Jerling has a deep reservoir of original tunes full of poignant poetry, wry humor and rock 'n' roll heart. As a keen observer of American life, Michael has a special genius for touching, timeless ballads that continue to sound fresh down through the decades. His appealing, sweet sense of melody borrows from blues, rock, country and R&B. Tonight Michael will be joined by Teresina Huxtable on reed organ and accordion, and Tony Markellis on bass. Opening the show is Twin Cities singer-songwriter Ellis. She leaves her audience better than she finds them, with softened edges and opened hearts. Her songs capture deep wisdom as well as a childlike playfulness and joy.
