Moving Forward, Traveling On
Please join us for an evening of stories, movement, and song from the women of Rising Voices. Moving Forward, Traveling On: Transformational stories of formerly incarcerated young women reclaiming their joy, finding their way, and staying on the path towards safety and self sufficiency.
In the end, all we have are our stories. To share them with laughter and tears. To tell them unflinchingly, with insight is the thing that makes us uniquely human. Join us for a celebratory evening of storytelling- of reclaiming our sobriety, children, families, and our very lives.
There will be a talk-back following the performance.
Rising Voices, a paid internship program of Community Works, is a collaborative theater ensemble of previously incarcerated young women ages 18-25 based at San Francisco Sheriff Department's Women's Resource Center.
There will be light refreshments following Thursday's performance.
