Fantasy Reading Series w/Kimiko Hahn
Kimiko Hahn is the author of nine collections of poetry, including Brain Fever and Toxic Flora. Both of these are triggered by rarified fields of science in much the same manner that previous work was triggered by Asian American identity, women's issues, necrophilia, entomology, premature burial, black lung disease, and on. A passionate advocate of chapbooks, her latest is The Cryptic Chamber, a long poem "about" the nautilus. She teaches in the MFA Program in Creative Writing and Literary Translation at Queens College, City University of New York.
Roger Sedarat is the author of 3 poetry collections: Dear Regime: Letters to the Islamic Republic (Ohio UP), Ghazal Games (Ohio UP), and Foot Faults: Tennis Poems (David Roberts, forthcoming). His translations of classical and modern Persian literature have appeared in Guernica, Drunken Boat, and Brooklyn Rail. A recipient of the 2015 Willis Barnstone Translation Prize, he teaches in the MFA program at Queens College.
