Beloved improv group Splendid Things continues their movie-viewing, live-commentary assault on the Twin Cities with James Cameron's esteemed 1986 sci-fi, action masterpiece, Aliens. Arguably one of the best sequels ever made, Splendid Things will surely beat Aliens at its own game as this is their second show like this so it's a sequel, too, and we're going to be really funny. You'll laugh, you'll learn, you'll grow a little closer to three very opinionated local cinephile comediansall while reveling in the thrills and chills of xenomorph-based terror! One night only!
Splendid Things is a nationally-renowned improv trio who performed a weekly show to sold-out houses at both the Bryant-Lake Bowl and HUGE Theater from 2008 2013. They mix grounded, naturalistic scenework with dark absurdism and cinematic flair, creating an improv show that manages to be sober and ridiculous at once. They're excited to try out a new format of just sitting around and making people listen to them talkeven though that's arguable pretty much what they did before.
