On the bike basket making you will make your own oval willow bicycle basket, with nylon or leather straps to attach to your bike.
Students should have made a few baskets before and be competent in the pairing weave (used on the base of baskets).
We will cover: oval bases, pairing and reverse pairing, staking up, waling starting with butts, French or English randing, and rod borders.
Please book 10 days in advance to allow me time to sort and soak the right amount of material.
Tea, herbal tea, and coffee provided. Please bring your own packed lunch.
Please Note:
If you have to cancel your place after the soaking time (10 days before the event) then refunds will no longer be available through Brown Paper Tickets as materials have already been purchased and prepared.
