Raven & Rose PFA at The Rookery: British Isles Cuisine through the Ages by Chef Daniel Mondok with Cocktails by Dave Shenaut
Portland Food Adventures has featured Raven & Rose at previous dinners as Chef's Choices - John Gorham, Ben Bettinger and Kevin Ludwig listed this beautiful restaurant as one of their faves. Now, we'll celebrate storied Chef Daniel Mondok taking the helm of their kitchen, where he's poised to bring out the best of Raven & Rose's British Isles roots, encompassing England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Chef Mondok was responsible for presenting one of the best PFA dinners ever--at Genoa. He has also garnered recognition at Sel Gris and Paulee, among others. The menu for our dinner features "A History of British Cuisine" - with dishes and beverages dated from the 1300s, 1400s, 1700s, 1800s, through to the present.
At this PFA, we'll have Raven & Rose on a closed night, and have the entire Rookery Bar to ourselves. Cocktails and pairings for the evening will be curated by The Rookery's excellent bartender, David Shenaut. He's the guy responsible for Portland Cocktail Week. You're going to want to enjoy this January evening, where you'll also leave with gift certificates to some of Daniel, David and owner Lisa Mygrant's favorite places: A Tasty N Sons dinner, the brand new Peruvian restaurant in SW, Paiche, and Lovely's Fifty-Fifty.
Portland Food Adventures events are a great date idea, and perfect for clients or small groups. Multi-course dinner and wine/drinks AND GRATUITY are included in the $125 ticket as well as the chef's fave gift certificates.
PLEASE NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY: Refunds less $20 per ticket service charge are available up until 11:59pm January 10th, 2016. After that, NO REFUNDS due to planning required, but you may transfer your seats to anyone. Please inform us of the names to whom you transfer your seats.
LEGAL STUFF (and SMOKING POLICY): Please read before buying tickets. We respectfully request that guests REFRAIN FROM SMOKING DURING THE EVENT (this means getting up during the dinner and going outside to smoke, and returning), as this is a communal dining experience. Portland Food Adventures reserves the right to refuse service to any patron who smokes or acts in an inappropriate manner. No refund will be given, since the restaurant will have planned the meal for a particular number of guests. Since this is a communal dining experience we ask you to be respectful of other guests and restaurant employees in every respect. There may be expiration dates for your certificates. Tickets are non-refundable, but buyers may call 503 208 4290 to change the name of the reservation at will-call up 24 hours before the event, if for whatever reason you choose to give the ticket to someone else.
By coming to this event, unless you request otherwise in writing, you acknowledge that there will be photographers at the event, and the use of your image in blogs or for any reasons is authorized by you. Please inform any guests for whom you are buying tickets.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: If the restaurant is open on the night of the event, the event goes on. Refunds or credits for a future events will be issued within a week after the event, only if the restaurant is closed on the night of the event due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
