This workshop will be introduce participants to the basics of Bioremediation: the use of living organisms to safely break down, bind or remove harmful substances from soil, water, and manmade structures to restore optimum health conditions to animals, plants, people and communities.Instructor Nancy Klehm will introduce the four tools of Community Bioremediation and the class will end with a small hands-on bioremediation installation on the Ranch Garden site.
This class will be held outdoors and will meet at The Ranch Garden Shade Structure. Attendees MUST wear closed-toed shoes to participate in this workshop.
This workshop is only open to present and past participants of The Huntington Botanical Gardens "Train - the - Trainer" Program.
