(Harry Rolnick, ConcertoNet.com), "a fully formed and fearsomely talented pianist" (CultureCatch.com) and "bold, dynamic, magnificent" (Harris Goldsmith, NY Concert Review), "Bulgarian-born piano dynamo" (Time Out NY) and multi-award winning pianist Tania Stavreva is internationally renowned for her "superior technical abilities," "unlimited virtuosity," and "huge dynamic range" combined with "demanding and diversified" programs.
Tania Stavreva made her Carnegie Hall debut in April 2009. She has also performed at many other top U.S. venues including Lincoln Center, the GRAMMY Museum Theater, Clive Davis Auditorium in Los Angeles, Kaufman Center, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Rubin Museum of Art, and the French Cultural Center in Boston; and at leading venues in Bulgaria, Italy, and the Netherlands. She has been featured on BBC Music Magazine, CNN, New York 1 News, Time Out NY, New York Daily News, WFMT 98.7. Also 2009, invited by Amanda Palmer from the internationally-acclaimed band The Dresden Dolls, Tania Stavreva became one of the first pianists of her generation to perform modern classical music at rock club venues in both New York and Boston, making classical music accessible to younger and non-traditional audiences. She is also known for her multimedia collaborations with body painting artists Danny Setiawan and Derrick Little.
Tania Stavreva is an active participant at many outreach programs and fundraising campaigns, supporting with institutions such as Dana Faber Cancer Institute, NYU Hospital, Los Angeles Children's Hospital, Centers for Alzheimer Care and many others. She is a graduate of the National Music School "Dobrin Petkov" in Bulgaria, where she studied with renowned pedagogue Rositsa Ivancheva, and also a graduate of the Boston Conservatory, where she was a full scholarship recipient and the winner of many competitions. She has been on the piano faculty of the Boston International Summer Music Festival "Youth & Muse," the Piano School of NYC, Long Island City Academy of Music and the Page Music Lesson Center where she was also the director and founder of the Page Music Piano Performance Program.
