Dates: Wednesdays, March 30th through April 20th Time: 7 to 9 pm Ages: Teens and adults
This beginning class is meant to provide students with a basic understanding of common electrical components and how these components come together to create circuits that can be used in their artwork.
The use of electronics within the arts has been in practice for decades. Electronics can be used as a dominant feature in art making or it can be used to aid in a variety of art practices--such as sculptors using motors to add movement to their pieces or craft artists using conductive thread to incorporate LEDs into their sewn projects. This class is meant to provide students with a basic understanding of common electrical components and how these components come together to create circuits that can be used in their artwork. Each student will receive their own electronic starter kits to use both during and beyond this class.
Beginners welcome!
