WA FarmLink Networking Event & Farm Tour
Saturday, June 2, 2012; 10am - 1pm
Dog Mountain Farm
7026 Tolt Highlands Road NE, Carnation, WA 98014

Hosts: WA FarmLink/Cascade Harvest Coalition and Dog Mountain Farm.  This event is sponsored by the WSDA/USDA Specialty Crop Block Grant Program.

This WA FarmLink Networking Event will give you a chance to meet other landowners and land seekers while learning about Dog Mountain Farm with owners and FarmLink members, Cindy and David Krepky.  We'll have a potluck, landowner-to-land seeker speed dating, learn about ways to find or transfer farmland with the help of WA FarmLink, as well as tour and hear about opportunities at the farm.

About Dog Mountain Farm:
Since 2001, David & Cindy Krepky have owned and operated Dog Mountain Farm which has served the Snoqualmie Valley community and Seattle area by providing farm-fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, herbs, flowers, eggs, poultry meat, and pork. They use sustainable growing methods without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or commercial fertilizers. They strive to produce nutrient dense food that is superior in flavor and shelf life, and provides a broad range of health benefits. Their livestock are humanely raised on pasture without antibiotics or hormones.  Building a strong biological system in the soil is the focus of their agricultural management.  They sell products on farm, through CSA and U-Pick and at farmers markets.  Dog Mountain Farm is also home to the School of the Lost Arts, a non-profit with a mission is to revitalize sustainable living skills in culinary, agricultural, and traditional arts, offering courses for all ages.  (Check out farm pictures to the right) www.dogmtnfarm.com

Potluck: Please feel free to bring a potluck dish, salad, or dessert. We will provide drinks and light snacks.

Please wear appropriate footwear and outerwear for touring the farm. Kids are welcome, but please leave pets at home.

Not a WA FarmLink Member yet?  WA FarmLink is a program of Cascade Harvest Coalition, a non-profit that works to connect farmers to farmers, eaters, and markets throughout WA State.  WA FarmLink works to connect landowners and land seekers to each other and resources.  We can help you take the next step in finding land to buy or lease, transferring land to the next generation of farmer, or joining into a farm partnership.  To learn more about the WA FarmLink Program and how to join, visit www.cascadeharvest.org/programs/washington-farmlink.
