Theatre Gigante presents WOYZECK
Theatre Gigante's WOYZECK adapted and directed by James Butchart with songs by Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan performed by Christine Zufferey and Frank Pahl
Poor soldier Woyzeck tries to hold it together, while being oppressed by the system, abused by his superiors, used as a human science experiment, and betrayed by his love, Marie.
Written by Georg Büchner in 1836, WOYZECK is one of the most performed and influential plays in European theatre, and here gets the Gigante treatment, with movement and music, featuring songs by Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan (from "Blood Money"), performed by Parisian singer Christine Zufferey & Gigante's favorite one-man band musician Frank Pahl.
