Rising Star Concert: Alex Zhou, Violin
Following our wonderful success with our inaugural concert of our Rising Star series last year, we are delighted to bring to the Sacramento area in 2016 a remarkably gifted 13-year old violinist, Alex Zhou. Alex is already leaving marks in the international music scene having participated in the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition at age 12. He regularly attends masterclasses with the most important violinists of our time, such as Gil Shaham and Itzhak Perlman. As our featured Rising Star soloist with the Camellia Symphony, he will be performing Mendelssohn's thrilling Violin Concerto in E minor, as well as Beethoven's delicate Romance in F. Come and listen to Alex now. This is a name to remember. You will be able to say to your friends "I heard him play before he was famous!"
