Get Lost: Stories from South Africa
Eli hasn't left the country since he was nine. On Christmas Day, at the age of 25, he booked a flight to South Africa because it was cheap. Without a plan, he flew halfway around the world. Every day there was a disaster. Getting lost on a hike, getting lost while driving, falling into a ditch in middle of the wilderness. But every single time, a stranger saved him. These are their stories.
It's a show about a native New Yorker who fell in love with both traveling and humanity.
"Eli Reiter is funny, moving, and humane, without any of the trappings, artifice, or prescribed rhythms that can sneak into storytelling. The real deal. Every time I see him at The Moth, he's telling a great story." - Dan Kennedy, host of The Moth podcast
"Eli Reiter is an amazing storyteller. He's also been blessed (cursed?) with a fascinating and complicated life. I highly recommend this show." - Bestselling author of The Know-It-All, AJ Jacobs
"Eli has a wonderful way of blending smart one liners into his stories which gives them levity and also shows off his great wit." - Ophira Eisenberg, Host of NPR's Ask Me Another and The Moth Slam Part of SoloWeek
