Angela Easterling
ANGELA EASTERLING Friday, December 18, 7 PM Parish Hall, St. Philip's Episcopal Church 403 E Main @ Queen Streets, Downtown Durham Rising Americana star Angela Easterling makes her Strings Attached concert debut Friday, December 18, at 7 PM, in the Parish Hall of St. Philip's Episcopal Church in downtown Durham.
Angela lives with her life and musical partner Brandon Turner and their young son on the SC farm that has been in her family since 1791. She is a three-time Kerrville New Folk Finalist, a Telluride Troubadour Finalist and a two-time Wildflower Performing Songwriter Finalist. The Boston Herald named her song "The Picture" ad its "Best Political Country Song" in their Year's best music. Roger McGuinn, of the Byrds, called her "a bright shining star on the horizon!" and went on to say, "Her CD brought me back to the time the Byrds recorded "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" - tradition meets youthful exuberance."
In the wake of positive press for her recent release "Common Law Wife," Angela and Brandon bring their dynamic classic country-tinged Americana to Strings Attached in an intimate concert benefiting the work of Urban Ministries of Durham.
Angela and Brandon have been featured in "No Depression" magazine and on NPR's "Tiny Desk Concerts" new music showcase (https://youtu.be/4x32leJzXrU). Be sure to catch them in this unparalled listening room while you still can.
Childcare and refreshments will be available. Ample, free and well-lit parking is available across from the venue.
Advance tickets, just $15 adults ($20 at the door) and $10 youth (childcare available), are on sale now at AngelaEasterlingDurham.bpt.me. All Strings Attached profits benefit Urban Ministries of Durham (www.umdurham.org).
