MUSIC:

Rabbit Wilde: (http://www.rabbitwilde.com/)

All members of Rabbit Wilde (formerly Br'er Rabbit) grew up in the same small town in the farthest Northwest corner of Washington State, but brothers Zach and Nathan first met Miranda, the third founding member, 2000 miles from 'home', in New York City. With rural roots and big-city inclinations, Rabbit Wilde's self described sound 'Folk-Stomp Americana' is befitting!

The group revamps classic string-band instrumentation with homespun percussion and the unique integration of six-string ukulele and cello. With widely varying influences, three distinct vocal styles and copious amounts of foot-stomping, members produce a sound and presence that's original yet familiar. Voted best band in their home city of Bellingham, WA 3 years running, Rabbit Wilde now tours extensively throughout the U.S. The band's most recent release, an EP titled 'Southern Winters', was recorded at the famed Bear Creek Studio

Massy Ferguson:  (http://www.massyfergusonband.com/)

Some would say only good things can come from a band that names itself after a farm-equipment company - but Seattle's Massy Ferguson is not as 'hayseed' as you might expect. Their songs are steeped in the classic Americana of the Uncle Tupelo, the Jayhawks, and the Backsliders. Rich with imagery of highways, truck-stop coffee, whiskey, road-weariness, and bad motels, Massy Ferguson produces cinematic roots music about the blue-collar aspects of our nation.

Performing as an acoustic duo on New Year's Eve, singer-bassist Ethan Anderson describes the sound as Americana leaning more toward rock vs. country - think Drive-By Truckers, a combination of Son Volt and The Hold Steady, or Springsteen's "Greetings From Asbury Park" or "Nebraska." Influenced by those noted above, 1970s Southern rock and good-time classic rock bands like Thin Lizzy - which has also helped them to land gigs at festivals and clubs in Australia, Iceland, Germany, England and Mexico. As a duo, the band has most recently opened for Everlast and toured with Roger Clyne and Peacemakers around the west coast
