Chinatown Chamber of Commerce Business Luncheon Series - Don Bacigalupi, Ph.D., Founding President Lucas Museum of Narrative Art speaking on "Building the 21st Century Museum"
Don Bacigalupi, Ph.D., Founding President of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, has more than 20 years of experience in museum management, collection and exhibition development, and educational programming. Initially, Bacigalupi will focus on the planning, organization and construction of the Lucas Museum. Most recently, Bacigalupi served as President of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas. He curated State of the Art: Discovering American Art Now, a renowned populist exhibition and the winner of a 2014 Excellence in Exhibitions Award from the American Alliance of Museums. Bacigalupi earned his master's and doctorate degrees in art history from the University of Texas at Austin, and he received a bachelor's degree in art history from the University of Houston, where he was valedictorian of his class.
