Bluegrass Concert with Sideline
Start off your New Year with a bluegrass bang that you won't soon forget! The incredibly talented musicians from Sideline are coming to the Cattle Track Theatre in Scottsdale on Thursday, January 7th and they're packing a punch!

Music critics just can't get enough of this great bluegrass mashup. Their music is intoxicating. Whether showcasing their instrumental prowess or vocal mastery, they bring on the firepower in a way that is reminiscent of traditional bluegrass greats. And then they turn around and ignite the audience with an original tune that blows them away!

No doubt bluegrass fans are well aware of the popularity of award-winning, Grammy nominated bands such as IIIrd Tyme Out, Cherryholmes and James King. Well, Sideline brings together mega-talented members from each of these bands as well as some brand new emerging stars. What came out of their first recording session (Sideline - Session 1) took the bluegrass world by storm. In fact, the success of their first album was so overwhelming that they went right back in the studio to record "Sideline - Session 2" featuring the hit single "Mountain Girl."

What started out as a little project on the side for these gifted musicians, became so popular that they are now in high demand to perform across the US. We're just danged lucky that they're heading through Phoenix on their way to the west coast so we could snag them for your listening pleasure!

This is an absolute MUST SEE for any bluegrass lover living in the state of Arizona. It's definitely worth the drive from anywhere in the state.

Discounted advance tickets can be purchased online through Brown Paper Tickets. Limited Gold Circle seating is available. Ticket prices at the door are $25 for Gold Circle and $20 for General seating. Doors open at 6:30 PM. More information about this event is provided through Brown Paper Tickets or call 718-374-1086.

The Cattle Track Arts Compound, located at 6105 N. Cattle Track Rd., is a one-of-a-kind artist colony in north Scottsdale. Headed up by owner and arts maven Janie Ellis, the colony offers art exhibitions, artists' studios and work spaces, a colonial antique gallery, Theater performances, as well as limited-edition fine art books beautifully crafted on an old-fashioned letter press. Come out and spend the day browsing and join us for an evening concert that will be the talk of the town!

Meet the band:

Steve Dilling has spent the last 20+ years as the outstanding banjo player with Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out. His showmanship is the stuff of legends!

Jason Moore is a 4 time IBMA Bass Player of the Year nominee and has been a part of 3 Grammy Award winning projects and worked with the likes of James King, Mount Heart, and Michael Cleveland. They just don't come any better.

Skip Cherryholmes hardly needs an introduction.  His family band "Cherryholmes" is a 5 time Grammy-award nominee and IBMA Entertainer of the Year winner in 2005. Skip's expert handling of the mandolin is well known and his guitar picking is every bit as skilled.

Brothers Brian and Nathan Aldridge hail from bluegrass bloodlines as well. Their father, Mike Aldridge, is a member of Al Batten & Bluegrass Reunion. Both Brian and Nathan bring a high degree musical talent and dedication to Sideline. Brian's vocals and Nathan's fiddle provide the perfect complement for the group.

For more information about Sideline check out their website at www.sidelinebg.com or take a listen to any of their numerous videos on YouTube.
