On this day 721 years ago, Saint Celestine V renounced his papacy after only five months, yearning to return to his solitary, archaic life deep within a cave.
Celestine's trajectory mirrors our own at this time of year, approaching Winter's greatest darkness. Basilica invites you to join us as we celebrate our season's end with a sacred Sunday night-- an opportunity to reflect inward / radiate outward in a cosmic cave-like gathering of spirits and sounds.

AHRKH (Manchester, UK) the solo project of A P Macarte, current multi-member of acclaimed UK noise experimentalists GNOD. AHRKH explores the transcendental, infinite aural/astral panorama and ultra-dimensional transportation meditations via sound; conjuring portals, voids, and vibe-ratory atmospheres for Magikal & Mystical celebrations of the you/uni-verse and beyond, steeped in spiritual, esoteric and eastern philosophies. Using modular synthesiser, voice, rhythmic pulses and various other sounds, AHRKH creates what Boomkat describes as "slow burning, deserted internal panoramas of brooding raincloud drone, coruscating half-lit amp worship and midnight devotionals...feedback wails and ritualistic drones, recalling traces of everyone from Loren Conners to Barn Owl." AHRKH has released sounds on The Wire darling's Sacred Tapes, the cult experimental imprint Tesla Tapes, Fact Magazine's tape label of 2014 Tombed Visions, and most recently, on European label ZamZamRec.
