Re: The Wild And Free... "After the release of my first record, I wanted to begin again... significantly. With a time and place...a singular feeling. I went to where I knew I could be alone. Really alone. Where a thick silence could wash over and cleanse me. Where the beauty is vast and overwhelming. Each day I wandered the cliffs and basins, with an endless wilderness stretched out before me, and each night I stared into the embers of my small campfire, watching the shadows dance on the rock walls all around me. A curious coyote would occasionally peer out from the dark, and we would meet eyes and consider each other for a brief moment. But always I was alone with my thoughts and this music. That is where this record was born... out of a silent contemplation, alone in the desert.
