L I S A R O T H M A N ----------------------------------------------- "The Darkest Day of the Year"
Lisa's waiting in line for an acorn pouch. She's brought her family to the Winter Solstice Carnival at a private school in Marin not far from where she herself grew up, lonely, reading and re-reading the smutty passages from Judy Blume novels. All the other mothers are wearing yoga pants. Lisa looks terrible in yoga pants. This was a bad idea. Lisa wishes she hadn't come and right then, her fairy godmother appears! But not to bail Lisa out. No, instead she's hell bent on getting Lisa's son to see the dragon on the roof "What? You don't want your child to see a dragon but you send him to public school in Oakland?"

Jeremy thinks some breathing would be pretty great right about now.Cheryl wants to know what's so wrong with people helping people. E L I Z A B E T H S A L E ----------------------------------------------- "Squirrel Buster"
Yes, it's hot out here in the West VirginIa sun, but no where near as fiery as it gets if Liz's dad goes into the house, which is just full of women. He's got a wife, and an ex-wife and co-workers and a nosy neighbor - and, right now all 5 of his daughters are home, but just for a few more hours . . . So, no, he's gonna stay out here, in the open, mowing the lawn and admiring the engineering of a good bird feeder. But, geeze, he wishes they would just come outside, so he could talk to 'em.
