Band in Seattle live television taping with The Crying Shame and Evening Bell
What's more Seattle than supporting your local businesses? Supporting your local musicians, that's what. So be a responsible Northwestern-er and get yourself down to Victory Studios for the taping of our next episode of Band in Seattle with artists Clinton Fearon and Chimurenga Renaissance on December 18th, 2015. Each band will perform a 45-minute concert, followed by a filmed interview and music trivia webisode, sponsored in part by American Music. Front doors open at 6PM at Victory Studios, 2247 15th Avenue West (near the Interbay Golf Center) and the concert ends approximately at 10PM.
The Crying Shame: Self-described as a "post-war, garage folk" band, The Crying Shame vocals sound like the love child of Neil Diamond and Mama Cass decided to move to the Pacific Northwest and start a rock band, and it is everything we've been waiting for. Rounding out their sound is a garage rock rhythm section, folk fiddle, and progressive lead guitar.
Evening Bell: With spot-on vocals, tight harmonies, and competent instrumentation, the quartet that makes up Evening Bell effortlessly recreates the 1950s styling of country western rock reminiscent of Elvis Presley and Patsy Cline, while throwing in a little blues to round out their enticing, original sound.
So come on down for some free beer provided by North Coast Brewing, an intimate concert experience, and a chance to see first hand what Victory Studios is doing to bring exposure to one of the most versatile and talented music scenes in the nation. And don't forget to catch new episodes of Band in Seattle Saturdays on KSTW, CW11 at 11pm.
