Cocktails for Three

Just back from an appearance at The National Archives and exciting feature on BBC Worldwide, Three for a Song brings their show, "Cocktails for Three: an intoxicating collection of boozy, bold, and beautiful melodies of the 20s and 30s" guaranteed to "go to your head, like a sip of sparkling burgundy brew."

Also included are beloved standards and some known and unknown tunes just right for the holidays. Three for a Song is delighted to feature Iyona Blake as our guest vocalist for this program.

Cauldron audiences know Iyona from her recent appearances here in Once on This Island, Shout! The Mod Musical, and Thunder Knocking on the Door as well as her fabulous cabaret show in September.

Doug is back and is, as Michael Feinstein has said "a singer with a formidable voice." Broadway World just lauded him as an "appealing tenor" with "conversational esprit" for his performances at the Cy Walter Centennial Celebration (Ted Firth, music director) at the Cutting Room in Manhattan.

Doug and Alex are both featured on the recent CD release of "Sublimities: Cy Walter Centennial Tribute" on Harbinger Records. Alex is a sought after pianist/performer of the genre, with recent appearances in Germany and England and over 16 recordings. His collection of nearly 45 thousand pieces of music from the 20s and 30s forms the basis of the repertoire Three for A Song share with you.
