Featuring Excerpts From:
B R I A N R O S E N > "Failing That"
It's just a somersault in a gym packed with jeering middle school students. Or an engineering final after a week without sleep that will make the difference between passing or flunking out of college. Or even just a brief walk in the darkened alleys of a bad neighborhood. Whether the task is trivial or life threatening, these three characters manage to screw it up in equally magnificent fashion. And for some reason, all of them are singing.
N A N C Y M A R G U L I E S > "Deaf Poets Society"
Nancy is used to hearing peoples darkest secrets. She's a psychologist. One client explains how she hustles for a living. Another describes how he navigates a busy street to score his daily dose of alcohol. And one man reveals his complicity in a crime. These struggles are compounded by the fact that her clientèle are deaf. Compassion is to be expected in the telling of these stories. What audiences find amazing is the abundance of humor.
