Philly Pigeon Poetry Slam Feat. G Yamazawa
A poetry slam is a competition between poets performing original work judged by members of the audience. The content and styles are as diverse as the people of our great city.
Top finishers in the grand slam will represent The Pigeon and Philadelphia at the National Poetry Slam!
Come perform, watch or judge.
Poets wishing to compete should arrive at 8:30 to put their names in the hat. All poets who put their name in the hat pay half price.

The Pigeon* is excited to announce this month's feature and workshop** leader:
G YAMAZAWA
is a National Poetry Slam Champion, two-time Individual World Poetry Slam Finalist, and three-time Southern Fried Champion.
As a 2013 Kundiman Fellow and DURM Hip Hop Summit artist, he has toured in over 50 American cities and internationally.
His work has been featured at the Sundance Film Festival, TV One's Verses and Flow, and the White House Initiative for Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders.
