THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT... Please sign up for our next session, April 2: http://srjintroapril2015.brownpapertickets.com
Come be inspired, discover and learn ways to promote a Restorative Justice culture in our homes, schools, organizations, spiritual centers, and justice system.
Do you believe in ending the school-to-prison pipeline? Do you seek alternatives to punitive discipline that keep youth in school and out of the criminal justice system? Do you want to promote healing, harmony and connections that benefit your communities, family and organizations? Can you imagine engaging conflict in a way that builds relationships and deepens connection and learning?
Restorative Practices support people to step into important and difficult conversations with safety to provide true community-based solutions, accountability, and transformative change.
This hands-on immersion in Restorative Justice and Restorative Circles supports anyone seeking a paradigm shift away from retributive justice and punishment and towards alternative accountability, Restorative Culture, and Restorative Practices in their communities, organizations, schools, justice systems, and families. This is a foundational learning event for Seattle Restorative Justice volunteers and those seeking to develop the skills to offer Restorative Circles facilitation in the emerging community-based Restorative Justice network.
We request financial contribution to mutually share in the responsibility to pay for the costs of the learning event and support the development of the Restorative Justice network.
No one will be turned away for lack of funds: You may be able to arrange for reduced fees or partial exchange for service or volunteer commitment. Please contact Susan Partnow at 206-310-1203 or susan@seattlerestorativejustice.org with any questions.
