The Nutcracker: Once Upon a Time...
In Olympic Performance Group's tenth anniversary production, Clara's Uncle Drosselmeyer is a storybook writer and illustrator who gives her a "pop up" book full of fairytales. Engrossed in her book, she becomes part of the stories. Using ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and gymnastics, the classic story, with a twist, is brought to life as Clara visits favorite characters: Puss in Boots and her dancing kittens, the Golden Goose and tumbling eggs, and Hansel and Gretel and their gingerbread cookies, and many more who dance, leap and flip before her very eyes. Holiday fun for all ages!
