Carmina Angelorum: songs for harp and treble voices
Seattle Girls' Choir would like to invite you to a stellar concert with our top two choirs, Prime Voci and Cantamus. In Carmina Angelorum these young women will blend their clear, beautiful voices with the warm rich sound of the harp, played by harpist Juliet Stratton. The combination is truly magical, and is certain to be one of the highlights of the holiday season. This year we are featuring works by Benjamin Britten, Edward Elgar, and Paul Carey.
Founded in 1982 and currently under the artistic direction of Jacob Winkler, Seattle Girls' Choir provides a robust education in the choral arts, helping girls build skills to succeed in life, and enriching the cultural landscape of the Pacific Northwest.
Juliet Stratton, harpist, performs regularly as soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. Prior performances include the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, and Cincinnati Symphony. Her numerous recording credits include motion picture scores, video games, symphonies, choral, solo, and chamber recordings. She currently freelances throughout the Pacific NW and maintains an active private teaching studio.
