C3? Advanced Forms with Billy Merritt
This workshop will introduce several new forms Billy has been working on [;The Conversation, Dining Room, and The Hidden Opening form];. While learning these we will discuss what makes a new form work, and how to create a unique one tailored for your group, as well as Advanced Gameplay to really help your form shine.
## About Billy Merritt
Billy Merritt has been a Performer, Teacher, and Director with the UCB Theatre since it first opened in New York. He was a founding member of improv groups The Swarm and The Stepfathers in New York, and The Smokes in Los Angeles. He has developed and performed in numerous hit shows throughout his tenure at the UCB such as The Sunshine Gang, Piledriver, My Dinner with Billy, and Brain Town to name a few. As a teacher Billy has developed many improvised long forms with his students in advanced classes. Such as, The Documentary, Improvised One Acts, and the Ninja.
His TV credits include a three year run on MTV's Boiling Points, Best Week Ever, Reno 911, Law and Order, Workaholics, Happy Endings, Weeds, News Readers, and Parks and Rec. He was the host of "Uncorked" with Billy Merritt, a food, wine and travel show that can still be seen on Hulu. Billy's voice can be heard on the new Cartoon Network show Steven Universe, and he just finished shooting on American Work's new movie Search Party.
